Charity we support

Plymouth Discovery Tours actively support DebRA

DebRA is the only charity for families affected by EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa) - a rare genetic condition which causes the skin to blister and shear at the slightest friction, or even spontaneously.

DebRA provides an expert team of nurses and social care staff to work directly with families. The charity also commissions world-leading research into the condition with the aim of finding effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for EB.

DebRA relies on the generosity of the public to carry out its vital work improving lives and giving hope.

DebRA is the only charity for families affected by EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa) - a rare genetic condition which causes the skin to blister and shear at the slightest friction, or even spontaneously.

EB is unimaginably painful; babies are often administered morphine in order to have their nappy changed and simple functions such as eating and excreting waste can be agonising. Turning over in bed can cause up to 30 blisters.
